Feel free...

I think about the concept of Free Will all the time. My feelings are mixed. At certain times, I think I am in control. Most of the time, I'm just along for the ride.

If we look at the universe as a mechanical thing, there's no room for free will. Every effect has a cause. With enough information, everything is predictable.

If we have a more spiritual perspective, in particular Christianity, Free Will still is not involved. God created us, created everything, and knows what will happen.

We do not choose.

And yet, the feeling of being able to choose persists.

The mystery of consciousness.

This… awareness…this curiosity… it is impossible to ignore.

I decided many things, haven't I? This is real, right?!?

To avoid going even more crazy than I already am, I just smile.

We are living in our mind, seeing our our eyes, dreaming about times we can not decide if real is right.
