Back on Tik Tok...

So, yesterday I decided to get back on Tik Tok. I was banned from the platform a few months ago, probably because I was promoting my OnlyFans.

Now hold on, what?

I was using OnlyFans like any other platform, to promote my music. No nudity, nothing explicit, just beats and rhymes. I wasn't even saying explicit stuff in the rhymes.

But since OnlyFans is forever connected to the adult industry, I guess the AI that was banning me only saw the surface level.

Regardless, I haven't been using the OnlyFans, more focused on my YouTube channel, and this website. Honestly, I haven't posted nearly as much here as I can. That's going to change.

I started this new account, @dshawn.payton with the intention of widening my reach. I had about 1100 followers before, after roughly 2 years of being on the platform. That was the most I ever had on any social media account that is directly related to me. (My @StreetFighterLadies account is way bigger, but it's not really promoting my stuff, just what I find hot.)

That 1100 was okay, but this time I will do better, faster (as long as they don't ban me again ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ)โ€ฆthis time I will be focused.

As soon as I posted my first video yesterday, Tik Tok said if I pay them $24 I will get over 10k views. They actually have a specific number that you will get, I just don't remember it right now.

A part of me was angry. Pay for views?!? That's not organic.

That's not natural.

Then I had to stop and think about it.

My favorite artists became my favorite artists because someone paid for them to be in the right place.

I didn't discover Redman as an underground artist, I heard him on a song with the established group EPMD, and he was on Def Jam, a major labor. He had ads in the popular magazines like The Source and XXL and Word Up!

Back then, I didn't care about any of the stuff I stress about now. So I may try their ad system. If I can spend $$$ on poison, I can do the same on positioning myself for a better future.
