Meditation...

This morning, while I sat outside of work, an hour early, I decided to meditate.

The waves of people who are in town for the World Cup are so beautiful. People from all over the world are here, celebrating. Since I have been in a funk, meditation in public was the prescription.

I made sure that my spirit was open and my feet were firmly planted on the ground. I sat quietly, breathing slowly. I did not cross any part of my body: no crossed legs, hands open with palms up resting on my legs.

I sat like that for about 10 minutes. People snuck glances. Children smiled at me. A few people recorded me, hiding it by acting like they were just recording in my general area, by accident.

It felt good. I needed that meditation session. I will do it again soon.
